Who We Are

The Real Estate Department is led by the Associate Vice President and includes over thirty professionals in the areas of Asset Management, Real Estate Development, Gift Real Estate, Residential Housing Planning and Acquisitions, and Real Estate Finance & Administration.

What We Do

The Real Estate department of Land, Buildings & Real Estate manages and oversees the non-academic properties on Stanford lands, which the Board of Trustees has designated for the production of income. The Real Estate department performs asset and property management, leasing, sales and acquisition, and development services for these lands on behalf of the University.  The areas under management comprise a wide variety of property types, including hotels, medical and commercial office buildings, apartments, retail buildings, single-family homes, and agricultural lands.  Among the list of properties overseen by the Real Estate Department are the following:
